Hi, my name is Astrid Chu.

I’m Chinese-Indonesian. My actual Indonesian name is Astrid Susanto, but you’ll soon find out why people know me as Astrid Chu.

Fashion was my first language. I studied design in college, but modeling pulled me deeper into the industry. For four years, I lived and breathed fashion in Jakarta, walking runways, shooting campaigns, and shaping my identity in front of the camera. That’s how the name Astrid Chu was made.

Then the pandemic gave me space to explore a different side of creativity—marketing, storytelling, the art of building a brand beyond aesthetics. I moved to Bali, joined Ananda Soul, and stepped behind the lens as a creative director. From producing photoshoots to designing jewelry, I found myself orchestrating the entire visual world of a brand.

Now, I bring that experience into my work with wellness and tech brands—crafting branding concepts, designing digital experiences, and illustrating visuals that resonate. My approach is instinctual yet intentional, merging the feminine and masculine, blending the raw with the refined, the bold with the ethereal.
